York Woolly Pully Vee Neck Sweater with Patches with Epaulets

I bought this with the idea that it would make a good waterfowling/all purpose hunting layer. I can't say if it will serve that purpose yet, but I can say that it's performed above my expectations from daily dog walks at 20°F over a merino base layer to mid 50's rebuilding fence after a recent winter windstorm. It breathes well, regulates temp better than I thought possible, and looks great doing it. It is snug as advertised, but not uncomfortably so. 6'0" and 195# and the Large was spot on. I did miss that this version came with epaulets, which I ended up cutting off. No concerns with durability so far after two weeks of nearly daily wear, including several days working with rough cut cedar fencing. I will definitely be buying more of these in other colors.

This sweater is warm, has great color, and is softer than others. Be aware, it is form fitting. I like that fit and so didn't size up. But if you're not expecting it to be slim, it could be a surprise.

These things are awesome! The patches and epaulettes make it look very military but the v neck and color options make it versatile. I got mine in Derby Tweed, big “thank you” to customer service for helping me pick that color- it’s a cooler tone than the online pic, to my eyes, brown marled with a bit of cool grey- damn it looks good with a sport coat!
The magic of these wooly pulley sweaters is the weight of the knit combined with the ribbing. Get the size right, and they’ll never restrict your movement while never being baggy and clumping up under a jacket. The knit/ribbing structure captures lots of air to keep you toasty when you have a layer on top; remove top layer and they breathe better than any other sweater while still being warm. Pretty close to perfect.
