The "Woolly Pully" sweater was originally developed during World War II for use by the S.A.S. and Bomber Command. This is a roll neck version of that sweater. Features a heavy wool, rib knit roll neck sweater is hardwearing and functional, complete with shoulder patches and elbow patches. Durable and hardwearing, this classic roll neck sweater retains its appearance and shape wash after wash.TW Kempton has manufactured the "Woolly Pully" for over 50 years to the exacting standards of the British M.O.D specification UK/SC/3712.

Very warm sweater and well made. Shipping was fast and reasonable. Size up from your normal size if you want it to fit a little looser as these are made to be form fitting. A word of caution while warm the wool is a bit rough which is fine for me but some people are more sensitive. Especially true for this version with the high collar around the neck. Very satisfied with my sweater.

My favorite piece of fall/winter wardrobe

These are EXCELLENT sweaters. I have one of each color and rotate through them pretty much exclusively through the winter months. Comfortable, well constructed, and warm. I've worn mine at work, in the back yard, the golf course and everywhere in between. I would not hesitate to buy again.

Be aware though! The sizing can be weird between the colors. I originally got the Olve in a Medium and it fit great. Navy blue in the same size is a bit small. Black in large fit pretty close to the Olive in medium. And finally the Heather in large is a weird fit of medium Navy and the large Black ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great for freezer work

I drive forklift at a frozen food plant. This sweater is a perfect mid layer for the colder months. Love it!

size up.

i am 5'11", 175. wear 42 44 chest. i went up 46 48. could have gone up 50 52. these sweaters are form fitting. the sweater fits, just could have gone up. sleeves are just on the edge of right, but sleeves pull up could use an extra inch. but the sweater is fantastic. solid heavy true cold weather sweater. no issue with the quality. regardless. definitely size one size up. two would have worked better for me.

Keeps me warm on the beach during the winter months

Just as described, fast shipping, thick and stretchy knit. Itchy, but what can you expect from 100% wool. On the expensive side but would buy again :) good price for what it is. Plus it's very warm.

What a sweater! Received my sweater and knew right after opening it I had no fear of the coming winter snow or cold or rain . The construction is superb and the outside patches hold up very well, I have worn it many times to break it in and have no issues with it at all! Keep up the great patriotic work ! God bless !
