Rothco Extra Heavyweight Buffalo Plaid Flannel Shirts

Next best thing to a heavy wool shirt. Very warm, soft and comfortable. I've had mine for 2 years and it's held up perfectly so far. The cut is nice, the shirt is true to size, im wearing it as I write this. The only thing I dont like is the light colored buttons on the green/black plaid. It makes this a no go for hunting. Other than that, its my warm weather jacket. 5'8" 190 lbs., size large. I would recommend to anyone looking for a heavy weight, sturdy 100% cotton flannel.

Excellent heavy flannel shirt. Great color and fit. Don't know why the warning regarding not to tumble dry - bad on buttons? - but I risked it and the shirt came out soft and comfy (shrunk some). Easy ordering and shipped quickly. Very nice!

This flannel is a very nice, very heavyweight material, and it is exactly what I was looking for. I originally ordered a Large but exchanged it for a Medium. The exchange process was a breeze, and the new flannel was shipped to me within an hour of dropping off the original. After washing and drying, I noticed minimal shrinkage. Will absolutely be shopping here again!

It's a good quality shirt. I would suggest, if you're planning on wearing it as a "shirt jacket" that you order it 2 sizes bigger. I ordered a 2xl but it's more like an xl in my opinion. I ordered a 3xl for layering.

The shirts are top quality. I found no problems with any of the seams or stitching. I have had slightly heavier flannel in the past, but these are heavier than anything else I have found in quite a few years. My only regret is that it took me so long to find Military Uniform Supply!

This is a nice thick, good quality shirt. Yes, it will shrink quite a bit if you wash warm/tumble dry it. But I wanted it to since I bought a small and am a 5'6"/118lb woman. It shrunk perfectly and is a great holiday shirt.

The fit on the XL is great. Just don't run it through a hot dryer. I hang dry all my shirts. Color is vibrant. Material is heavier than normal, but just as soft.

I was looking for a thick flannel semi-sweater and found it in the XL green plaid shirt.

Warm Shirt

I used Mark's review and bought a 4XL even though I wear a 2XLT. It shrank down to a nicely loose 2XL. I wish they came in a Tall. I bought the orange/black shirt and out of the box I was very disappointed that the orange was not nearly as deep as the picture. I like the snap closures on most Polar Kings better than the buttons on this shirt and they come in Tall. But this shirt is definitely a better shirt than Legendary Whitetail brand.

These Rothco heavy flannel shirts are unique in that they are the heaviest flannel you can get that don't have a padded liner. Just make sure that you order two sizes larger then you normally would because they shrink a lot. (Unless you cold wash and line dry.) That said I'm very happy with them. Also the stock comes and goes so get them while they are here.
