Revolutionary War Era Trousers for Reenactors - WHITE

I wear a 34 waist. I had read that sizes ran small in prior reviews so I ordered size 36. The trousers arrived quickly and quality was good for machine sewn reenactor clothes, but I couldn't get them bottoned. Even the larger size was too small. But I returned them for a size 38 which fits perfectly and the return was quick and easy. You do have to hem these to your leg length the inseam as shipped is probably 36 to 38 inches. But I am very happy with the purchase.

Trousers arrived very quickly, well-made and fit loosely (as I ordered) but upon washing before hemming, they shrunk several inches. I had tentatively folded the pant leg up about four inches as an estimate of what I would need to hem before washing. After laundry that excess was completely gone. Before washing I had to pull the lacing in the back as tight as possible to keep the waist from falling off. After laundering even pulling the lace all the way out, they were snug

Great customer service! The pants are authentically reproduced in a mid weight canvas. I gave a four only because there was no notification in the ad description that indicates they should not be machine laundered. Even with cold water and low-heat dryer, they will shrink somewhat when washed and dried. And they do require ironing afterward. Just a word of caution or a care label sewn in would help a lot. Otherwise, I am delighted with the purchase and the customer service when I emailed a request for information. this is a great company to do business with. Just get at least a size bigger than your normal, and you will be well pleased.

These are nice entry-level fall-front trowsers for someone getting into late 18th or early 19th century reenacting. They are quality made and have a great fit. My modern waist is a 36, and I ordered up one size to be safe, and that was perfect. Keep that in mind when ordering, and you should be good-to-go!
