Sweater has come in very handy this winter with the many rounds of cold. It is comfortable and well made. Even being of thin-build, I did size-up (M to L) to give added comfort and be less restricting around the shoulders.

I was hesitant to order this, because some wool sweaters are itchy. I'm happy to report that with a t-shirt only, this is not a problem. I think it has something to do with how the wool is processed and the fiber length. Sizing is not a problem either, as I usually wear a large and the sleeve cuffs are folded over, so arm length is not a problem. Torso length is generous, and I'm a concealed carrier, so there was no problem with "printing" or covering. I'm probably going to order another one in a different color. Overall, a well executed garment.

The quality of the sweater is great. I'm 6'2", 225 and ordered a 3XL, which was snug in the neck, shoulders, and arms. I expected that because these sweaters are form-fitting. Problem is that my form isn't what it once was (fat belly) so I did not look good in the sweater and I returned it. I was truly bummed, but it was too heavy/warm to wear under a jacket and wasn't flattering alone.

Getting next size up was a good choice. Allows for shirts to be worn under it.

Excellent gift for my son and was exactly what he wanted. I’m glad I sized up. He usually wears a L but after reading the reviews I got an xl for his 5’6, 180 lb frame. The sleeves are slightly long on him but he’s fine with it. It looks much smaller when you take it out of the package but stretches nicely.

Was stationed in Scotland and purchased one of these sweaters in a local shop. Was one of the best sweaters I have ever owned! Couldn't find one until recently, found one on Military Uniform Supply. Excellent quality and great price, the OD Green Woolly Pully is a classic. As the sizing guide says they do run a bit small. I’m 6’ 165lbs, went with the Large, fits perfectly.

I've been wearing them since before my Army service in the 80s. There's no better sweater for cold weather outdoor activity.

Excellent made sweater, very sharp. Has a trim fit close to the body. Snug around the neck and shoulders and no baggy arms. Can’t wait for winter so I can wear it. Got another one in the peat brown color. I think with a base layer under it and a light jacket you’ll be set. Might make you think you’re still in the ranks. Highly recommend .

I first bought a woolly pully sweater when my wife and a I were students in England 50-some years ago (it was the height of British student fashion in those days). I have been wearing both surplus originals and imitations ever since. When I tried this one on, my wife commented that it looked just like the one I used to wear back then. The quality is great. I have since bought several more in different colors.

This particular shade of grey goes with just about everything.
6'2" 220lbs 36 inch sleeves and the XXXL fits just how I like it while wearing a shirt underneath. It's not snug or form fitting, not baggy or sloppy fitting and the sleeves are plenty long enough.

Have bought 4-5 of these wool sweaters from Military Uniform Supply and have been very happy with each one.
Buying quality heavyweight wool is always a good investment as it's warm even when wet, breaths, has timeless & traditional good looks and with simple care will last a lifetime.

I was happy to find the original Woolly Pully still being made and available on this site. I've been looking for a while, but didn't want a lesser knock off that was "similar" to one. These are very thick, heavy all wool sweaters that are extremely warm, but very nice. As the instructions suggest, these are very form-fitting, so if you are a larger person or have a few extra pounds, get the next size up -- you may need to have the sleeves adjusted if you do, but the fit will be much better.

Good quality sweater, goes great with jeans for a casual look.

I bought a wooly pully while in the Marine Corps in 1979 deployed to Iran during 'Operation Egale Claw" and we had British Marines with us, old bloat, as tell call themselves sold me his for 2 C-rat meals and 5 US Dollars. Just about time to get a new one that fits a 65 year old. . terrific Sweater, thanks to the British Marines, Brothers in Arms

I'm very impressed with my recent purchase. I have one of the original Wooly Pully from WWII. All though it's worn out but still in pretty good shape. After wearing it a couple of time and washing it, I'm confident that I have the same quality that made UK Wooly Pully the standard of commando sweaters

I ordered two, XL, I'm 6" 5", 250, XL fits nice, not too tight nor to loose.
Sleeve length is right on as well. Thick, fits some wind all alone. I think the 80's US Army version is a bit different, a quarter button up and no shoulder or elbow protection but these are keepers. Wearing one right now!

I purchased this British Commando Wooly Pully as a replacement for an aging and damaged Brigade Quthermasters Wolly Pully no longer available. Upon receiving the sweater, I was impressed at the thickness, the color and the quality of the sweater. I would say the sweater is equal to or bettet than the Brigade Quartermsters sweater of yesteryear. Very pleased!
